The Ultimax pump or otherwise known as a Vico Ultimax pump used to be made by Vico then by Pentair and now by Balboa Water Group.
The range consists of the UltraJet pump & Ultimax pump - Ultimax being the only European version supplied by Balboa for sale in the UK at present.
The Ultrajet also known as the Ultima pump has been used on many spas imported into the UK over the last 10+ years, and the Ultimax pump which has only been used for the last few years and is now more comonly fitted than the Ultrajet.
Both pumps have been used heavily on Hydropool & Canadian spas to name a few.
**If you are replacing an Ultrajet pump (smooth body type very common)
The Vico UltraJet Pump is a very popular pump fitted to many spas in the UK, Originally fitted with a USA motor (Smooth body motor more suited to the USA market, Franklin Electric & AO Smith to name a few)
We have now sold the Ultimax pump several times to customers who need to replace their old Ultrajet pumps. You must be warned however there are a few minor differences in the wet-end dimensions and the overall physical size, this is not normally an issue but you need to be made aware of it. Please see images above. (Put simply the pipe that connects to the top discharge port will have to move by 16mm to accommodate the new pump)
Please also make sure when considering the replacement unit that you have enough space to fit the new pump which has a slightly larger foot than that of the old 48 Frame version, once again please check by using the measurements diagram above

| Note | Vico Ultimax is used to replace the Ultrajet pump, however there are some differences in wet-end dimentions( there is a 16mm space difference in the top discharge port) please make sure your spas plumbing can move the 16mm and also that there is enough space to accomodate the new size pump |
