Warm hot tub and spa water is the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Application Instructions for Hot Tubs
Caution: Professional-strength product; read all instruction and SDS before use. Do not use the system during treatment. Isolate any chlorine or bromine feeders and probes prior to product application. Wear gloves & eye protection. Full SDS is available for download, it's advised to keep a copy visible in the chemical storage area.
- Remove and thoroughly clean cartridge filters before proceeding with treatment.
- Drop the required number of tablets into the water around the edges of the spa with the pumps running.
- Run the pumps for 15-20 minutes to ensure even distribution of the product, before backwashing the filter
- Optional: Drain the hot tub completely and refill with fresh water for optimal results.
The spa should not be used for at least 8 hours after application; although we recommend waiting for 12 hours. If the water has been fully drained and refilled, the spa can be used as normal once the water has been treated with the appropriate amount of everyday sanitiser and the levels are back in the recommended range.

Other Applications
To clean a biofilm covered surface such as floatation aid, covers, channel grates, or around the pool side, and in changing areas, use the following dose rate:
- Add 1 tablet to 20 ltr of water and allow the tablet to fully dissolve.
- Apply the solution to the surface, leave for 5 minutes, then wash thoroughly with clean water
Safety & Handling
Strong Oxidiser - May Intensify Fire. Harmful if swallowed or inhaled, toxic if absorbed through the skin, causes severe skin/eye damage. Store secure locked up, away from acids/combustibles. Full precautions, safety instructions, first aid, and transport info can be found on the product's Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

I have used these tablets since they first came onto the market after having used the Spa100 which is in liquid form and basically the same compound but in tablet form. I found they are easy to use, just pop them in and presto after around an hour it is ready to use. Hydrospares sell them at a reasonable price and that is the reason why I have purchased them on two occasions and will continue to buy from again.
I am using these for a whirlpool. I am very happy with the result. They seem to do the job very well.

This was the first time that I had used one of these 10g tablets on my whirlpool bath. I was amazed by just how much of this bio-film appeared during the cleaning process. I will be using one of these every six months from now on, in addition to the usua, after each bath, tablet I use.

Having used another companies product since our spa bath was installed, I was surprised to notice a build up of black bits, after our bath wasn’t used for 2 months, due to being away. I continued to use the product we had used before, but it just wasn’t tackling the problem. I researched the Internet and found this Biofilm Eliminator Tab, and boy did it do the trick, the slime that came out of the pipes was amazing. We have since gone over fully to Pure-Spar products, and as of yet, the black bits haven’t come back.
Really great product, first time I’ve used it but impressed with results. Will definitely purchase again.
They are the best cleaning tablet for whirlpools, easy to use, they work and I recommend them to all my customers.
